'MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC'Split Type Air Conditioner
Product Warranty Terms and Conditions
This is to certify that the 'Mitsubishi Electric' air conditioner on this certificate is free of defect in materials and workmanship and the end user is entitled to the following warranties subject to the terms and conditions listed below:
Type/Models of Split AC Equipment
A. Single Split AC (M Series except MEZ series) and Multi Split AC
Warranties on the AC Equipment
2 years warranty on whole unit, 5 years warranty on compressor
Remarks
First 2 years warranty of compressor is included in the first 2 years warranty of the whole AC unit
B. Commercial Use Split AC (P & S Series) Single Split AC
Warranties on the AC Equipment
2 years warranty on whole unit
Remarks
No extra warranty on compressor
1 For any defect, in the judgement of our technician, caused under normal use, we will provide free repairing and replacement of defective parts within warranty period from the date of purchase. The replaced defective parts shall become our property. The warranty period of compressor of Single Split AC (M Series except MEZ series) and Multi Split AC is 5 years. If the compressor is damaged/failed during the 3th to 5th year and replacement is necessary, only free on the supply of compressor but the costs of inspection, labour, Freon re-charge, other parts and transportation will be paid by customers.
2 The following conditions are not covered by this warranty service:
(1) Any unauthorized modification or repair has been made to the product, or the serial number on the product has been removed, defaced or altered.
(2) The defect is caused by improper installation, misuse, negligence or accident.
(3) The defect is caused by abnormal power supply, natural calamity or uncontrollable events.
(4) The company shall not be liable for loss of any kind (including consequential loss or damage) to any person or property, whatsoever caused arising from improper use, or any stoppage, breakdown of failure of the machine.
(5) Replacement or repairing of external parts such as cabinet, body, chassis, refrigerant pipe, panel, knob; remote control unit and accessories.
(6) Product installation, overhaul cleaning, clearing of clogged drain pipe, mold cleaning, product reinstallation and removal or reinstallation of decorations or fittings for repairing service.
(7) The product is operating at unfavorable/adverse environment, or is installed at location could not be reached, or safely accessed by service personals;
(8) The company is not promptly informed of the change of address or ownership of the product.
3 For product installed in open area or at height exceeding 2 meters above floor level, customer shall provide the necessary facilities and safety arrangement to access the product, otherwise the customer is responsible for the charges incurred for the company's arrangement of such access.
4 For Hong Kong outlying islands service (except Tung Chung new city town), an extra service fee will be charged and in case of workshop repairing is needed, the customer is responsible for the transportation of the product to and from our Service Center.
5 This Warranty on product is valid only in Hong Kong and Macau and will be void if the AC product is transferred to other locations from the original installation location.
6 In case of any dispute, the company reserves the right for final judgement and decision.
7 Collection and Use of Personal Information
(1) To enable us to provide you with excellence of our sales and after-sales service, product promotion, website service, and related services (“Customer Services”), we may need you to supply to us your personal information such as name, address, contact telephone number, and e-mail address. You are free to decide whether to supply your personal information. However, we may not be able to provide you with our Customer Services if you refuse to supply your personal information.
(2) Your personal information we collected may be used for the following objectives:
- Provision, daily operation and improvement of Customer Services and other related services;
- Direct marketing or related marketing;
- Conducting customer, product/service market research, survey or promotion;
- Handling customers' inquiries or complaints; and/or
- Matters directly related hereto.
(3) We keep your personal information in our secured database confidentially to prevent from unauthorized or accidental access, erasure, loss or use. Your personal information will not be kept longer than is necessary for the achievement of the above objectives.
8 Transfer of Personal Information
We may disclose your personal information or any part thereof to our authorized employees, our group companies, other persons or bodies corporate engaged by us for or in relation to any of the objectives above-mentioned.
9 Request Access to and Correction of Personal Information
We assume that all personal information provided by you is accurate and complete. Under the Ordinance, you have the right to check whether we hold personal information on you, to obtain a copy of that information (if any) and/or to correct any inaccurate information. Your request aforesaid (if any) should be made in writing to our Data Protection Officer either via email: dataprotection@mehk.com or by post at our office address of Mitsubishi Electric (HongKong) Limited, 20/F, Cityplaza One, 1111 King’s Road, Taikoo Shing, Hong Kong. You will be required to pay us a reasonably fee being our administrative costs to handle your request. You are always welcome to inform our Data Protection Officer of any change of your personal information you provided.
10 Direct Marketing
(1) We may use your personal information (e.g. name, address, contact telephone number, fax number and e-mail address) in direct marketing on our products, namely, air-conditioning and home appliance if we have received your consent or indication of no objection, orally or in writing, to such use. We may seek your consent or indication of no objection to such use by means of a phone call, a prescribed form in writing or through e-mail.
(2) We may conduct direct marketing activities by ourselves or by engaging agents to conduct the same on our behalf. Our direct marketing materials may include our products catalog or advertising & promotional materials of our products.
(3) You shall at anytime be entitled to request us free of charge to cease to use your personal information in direct marketing by forwarding your request as such in writing to our Data Protection Officer either via email: dataprotection@mehk.com or by post at our office address above-mentioned. Please state your name, address and contact telephone number in your request. Upon receipt of your request aforesaid, we will as soon as practicably possible update our opt-out list of direct marketing accordingly and cease to use your personal information in direct marketing.
(4) We will not provide your personal information to any third parties for their own use in direct marketing.
11 In the event of any inconsistencies between the English version and Chinese version, English version prevails.
